Understanding people has always been at the heart of what I do.
Long before I became a psychotherapist, I found myself fascinated by people, their stories, their resilience and the invisible experiences that shape who they become.
Today, as the founder of Empowerment House, I help people understand themselves differently through counselling, workshops and practical education, grounded in the belief that insight changes the way we see ourselves, our relationships and our lives. And when we see things differently, we can begin to respond differently.
Because insight creates change.
For much of my life, I searched for answers.
Not because I had all the questions neatly written down, but because I was curious about people, relationships and why life can feel so much harder than it looks from the outside. Over the years I've learned that many of us spend enormous amounts of energy judging ourselves for reactions that actually make perfect sense once we understand the experiences that shaped us.
That understanding changes everything.
And that is where meaningful, lasting change begins.
I help people connect the dots.
My work combines evidence-based psychotherapy with practical education. I don't believe insight alone creates change, and I don't believe strategies work unless we understand what they're trying to change.
Together we'll explore the relationship between your nervous system, life experiences, relationships, beliefs and behavioural patterns, so you can begin responding to life with greater awareness and choice.
Most importantly, I translate complex psychology into language that makes sense, because understanding shouldn't require a psychology degree.
I grew up on a sheep and wheat farm near Narromine in regional New South Wales, where I developed a strong appreciation for community, resilience and hard work. My career began in nursing, in hospitals across Sydney, regional NSW and the Kimberley in Western Australia, before I moved overseas.
Over the next seventeen years I lived and worked throughout London, Hong Kong and Myanmar, building careers in healthcare recruitment, executive recruitment and eventually running my own business. Those years gave me the privilege of working with people from many cultures and walks of life, and everywhere, I noticed the same thing: everyone carries a story, and everyone is shaped by experiences that often remain unseen.
After returning home, becoming a mother and navigating my own seasons of change, I felt drawn back to the work that always interested me most.
That journey led me to retrain as a psychotherapist.

Whether we're working together in counselling or you're attending one of my workshops, my hope is that you'll leave with more than information.
You'll leave with understanding.
You'll begin to recognise the patterns that have shaped your life, appreciate the incredible ways your mind and body have adapted to protect you, and discover practical tools that help you move forward with greater confidence and self-compassion.
My role isn't to tell you who you should become. It's to help you better understand who you already are.
Off the clock.
Outside of work, I'm a wife, mum to two energetic boys and someone who still finds joy in asking questions, learning new things and hearing people's stories.
Having lived and worked across Australia, London, Hong Kong and Myanmar before returning home to regional New South Wales, I've come to appreciate that while our circumstances may differ, our hopes, fears and need for connection are remarkably universal. I'm grateful that this work lets me combine my curiosity about people with my passion for helping them discover that change doesn't begin with having all the answers.
It begins with understanding yourself differently.
